German President Kohler Resigns

He supports the war in Afghanistan, saying, “a large economic power like Germany, with its significant global trading interests, must be willing to deploy its military abroad.” But happily, most of Germany disagrees with him, and it is pointed out that Kohler’s elitist war machine-loving attitude is “inconsistent” with Germany’s constitution. This doesn’t show that constitutionally limited government works, as German troops were and continue to be deployed there for no economic reason and without any just war rationale. But it might show the fundamental power of laughing at, ridiculing, disrespecting, and turning our backs on our politicians. What is it they say? “People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people. “
