Here is Richard M. Nixon’s Silent Majority speech on Vietnam. I heard part of the audio yesterday, and darn if it didn’t sound just like W’s recent orations. Nixon had hinted at peace in his campaign against the hapless Humphrey, and promises it here too. After more war, of course. Nixon went on to kill millions more (not a typo) in Vietnam.
