Biden, Pelosi and Cuomo all want the federal government to mandate masks. Pelosi wants the CDC to do it. Cuomo wants Trump to do it. Biden says he’d use executive powers to do it.
Cuomo ignores the Constitution. Biden ignores the Constitution. The Executive doesn’t legislate. The Executive has no power to mandate that everyone wear masks. Their statements suggest that they’re comfortable with dictatorial executive action.
Pelosi is ignoring federal law by suggesting the CDC should mandate masks when it has no power to mandate masks. The CDC is a federal agency with limited powers. The CDC acts in an advisory role.
According to a 2014 article under Time’s banner, “But its [CDC’s] power to act is extremely restricted. The agency traditionally acts in an advisory role and can only take control from local authorities under two circumstances: if local authorities invite them to do so or under the authority outlined in the Insurrection Act in the event of a total breakdown of law and order.”
The advice of these three goes directly against the rule of law. But all three of these treacherous and untrustworthy hypocrites in their public remarks uphold the rule of law.
Pelosi criticized Attorney General William Barr saying he “deeply damaged the rule of law” in the Stone case. She said “This all must be investigated. The American people must have confidence in our nation’s system of impartial justice.” How can we have confidence when Pelosi herself ignores the rule of law because she wants to score political points against Trump?
Biden “rallied for the rule of law” in one speech, quoting Thomas Paine “In other countries, the king is law, in America, the law is king.” But what constitutional power does a president have to mandate the wearing of masks? (To add insult to injury, masks don’t stem the virus spread and they have definite negatives.)
Andrew Cuomo says “New York courts exist to uphold the rule of law…” He too doesn’t mind lying in order to attack Trump for not doing what Trump has no power to do.
Andrew Cuomo, the dictatorial governor of New York, in case you do not know, routinely stomps on the rule of law. He should be known as the “nursing home murderer”.
If Pelosi were serious about masks, she’d legislate a law mandating masks. She doesn’t want the heat from doing that. Furthermore, if the CDC doesn’t do it, and she knows it probably will not, then she can blame Trump for not taking measures he should have. If the CDC does it, she can claim that she caused them to act.
