To get a good idea of what kind of authoritarian elitist snobs the Democrat machine is filled with in Massachusetts, we can look at this week’s endorsement by Sen. Elizabeth Warren of 6th District incumbent Congressman John Tierney. For the primary Warren passed over someone known to be a “real liberal,” Marisa Defranco, probably because DeFranco opposed Warren for the Democrat nomination during the 2012 race for U.S. Senate. So obviously Liz holds a grudge. Politicians in general are perhaps the most vindictive bunch. This month even the Boston Globe overlooked DeFranco in its coverage of a rally highlighting women in Congress. The elitists are very exclusive, and God forbid a newcomer who sticks to principles (such as they are) should go against a beloved agitator like Elizabeth Warren.

Now let’s look at the Congressman that Liawatha has just endorsed. That’s U.S. Rep. John Tierney, who said he was unaware in 2010 that his wife Patrice was keeping a bank account containing $7 million on behalf of her brother. Patrice is now a convicted felon after pleading guilty in aiding and abetting her brother’s alleged illegal gambling and racketeering operation. In 2010, the Globe asked, “What did John Tierney know and when did he know it?” And then Patrice Tierney’s alleged racketeer brothers claimed that yes, John Tierney did know all about the illegal operation and his wife’s part in it. Eventually, in 2012 the Globe endorsed the Republican over Tierney. Can you believe that? Naturally, Tierney was reelected in 2010, and again in 2012. This is Massachusetts, after all.

Now, I realize that the “crimes” that Patrice Tierney’s brothers were charged with are mainly not crimes, except for perhaps fraudulently claiming to be a “consultant” rather than an owner. But mainly their alleged actions go against some made-up rules that government bureaucrats imposed on people, such as a certain type of gambling or various issues involving tax filings. The tax filings crimes are the other way around, the bureaucrats are the criminals and the people are the victims. Duh. However, given that these are all politicians and their relatives getting in trouble, when Elizabeth Warren endorses John Tierney over Marisa DeFranco, it makes me wonder what exactly is going on in the minds of these people. And it also looks like there definitely is a convenient  “memory hole” after only 2 or 3 years.
