Subject: respectfully, we don’t owe you anything

Hi Walter,

Huge fan. I’ve embraced the evictionism philosophy and share it’s libertarian merits with both left and right zealots across the prolife/prochoice divide.

Just read your open letter to Georgia libertarians. I currently live in GA. I voted for Shane. I also would have voted for a Libertarian Presidential candidate over Trump if we had one worth voting for which we haven’t had since Badnarik. I honestly don’t remember if I even voted for a presidential candidate in 2008 or 2012.

Anyway, I wanted to say that implying that those of us who voted for Shane owe everyone a moral debt to support Perdue and Loeffler. In the great words of our fake pres-elect, “come on, man!”  🙂  I don’t think implying an obligation to vote a certain way or even to vote at all is going to resonate with many thick libertarians. The argument sounds too much like my mom convincing me to vote for Dole in 96 for which I had to close my eyes to do and still look back on with embarrassment.

Libertarians for Trump was an interesting organization and in some ways illustrative of the lack of national leadership in the party. I understand the idea and precept but it’s a little silly imho. Vote libertarian where it doesn’t matter…..to send a message. That message will not be heard. Many libertarians who voted for Trump weren’t doing it for the pragmatism. If so, those same libertarians would have been voting for Bush and Romney. Trump won much libertarian support because of his fearlessness to speak truth and expose posers (at least sometimes).

I suppose that for libertarians who embraced the precept of Libertarians for Trump, your call to moral obligation makes sense. But, for the rest of us, we owe you nothing but non-aggression and respect.

still a fan,

Ennis

Dear Ennis:

Thanks for your support on evictionism.

Strategy for libertarians is a very difficult issue. You may be right, and me wrong. In any case, we can agree to disagree

Best regards,

Walter

Forestalling: forestall: bagel: donut: forestalling

thought about your point about bringing the baby to the sidewalk

1.if it’s a private sidewalk, the owner would object

2.if it’s a public sidewalk, my bagel theory still applies, I think. The parent is still guilty of precluding others from homesteading the guardianship rights to the baby. the parent might as well leave the baby in a publicly owned forest; same objection
