Anthony, I think Golberg has only recently found some kernels of truth because he and other neocons are trying to deflect any culpability in their association with Bush and his insane war which are both now political losers. This is also why the neocons at NRO are all up in arms over the Meirs nomnination. They’re using the nomination as an opportunity to officially put distance between themselves and the now defunct Bush machine.
