Sixteen states will have a sales tax holiday this year. Many will begin this Friday. Yes, it is only on certain items. Yes, it only lasts a few days. And yes, it is not good tax policy, as the Tax Foundation maintains. But since it will keep some of my money out of my state treasury and in my wallet, I will take advantage of Florida’s upcoming tax holiday on things I was going to purchase anyway. Don’t forget to take advantage of your state’s sales tax holiday.
