At this moment in history, more and more Democrats are coming across as scoundrels, liars, demagogues, crazies, and morons. Beside them, Donald Trump appears as a truth-teller. Trump knows what he’s doing and what he wants. He’s not destroying the country by seeing Mattis off or bargaining with a government shutdown or withdrawing forces from Syria and Afghanistan. He’s not in Putin’s pocket. Putin doesn’t have blackmail material on Trump. Yet the Democrats keep manufacturing these crazy accusations, one after another, filling the media with lies and attempting to make political hay out of them. They are digging their own political graves with these extreme statements. This is a truly sickening episode in our history. Trump is open to a lot of justifiable criticism on, for example, his Iran policy; but such is not the ground of most negative commentary.
The target of so many Democrats and media mouths and highly-paid shills is Trump, and they attack him constantly with exaggerations, crazy rhetoric, lies and moronic accusations. Today it’s Beto O’Rourke spouting utter crap. He’s accusing Trump of wanting to end “our democracy”, as if Trump were engineering a move to absolutist rule:
“‘If there were ever a man to exploit this precarious moment for our country and our form of government, it’s Trump,’ he wrote, adding that America is ‘at risk of losing those things that make us special, unique, exceptional…'”
What nonsense with respect to Trump and his policies. O’Rourke, who wants to be president, has identified himself as an A-1 demagogue, opportunist, and manipulator. Thank you, Beto. You’re a clown, but we appreciate your showing us this aspect of your distorted ideas and demagogic expression thereof.
Defending truth in this situation means defending Trump against this onslaught of wild accusations and pointing out their sources so that Americans can reject them in the future. They shouldn’t be given a pass for joining what amounts to a lynch mob with Trump the target.
Consider this newspaper article.
“‘This is a rogue presidency,’ said Barry McCaffrey, a retired four-star Army general.” Why? Simply because Trump refuses to be a puppet to the establishment powers, the empire’s policies and the Deep State. Simply because he’s trying to put his promised agenda into effect.
“One by one, the seasoned advisers seen as bulwarks against Trump’s most reckless impulses have been cast aside…”
Trump’s policies are described as “reckless impulses”. No wonder he constantly talks about fake news. The commentators are telling him what to do, and if he doesn’t do it, they accuse him of all sorts of crazy ideas: working for Putin, attempting to become our absolute ruler, killing children separated from their parents, recklessly endangering our lives. They have gone to war against Trump and war always brings out crazy propaganda. The critics of Trump have gone over to outrageous lying propaganda. They will regret it the more they overdo it when truth comes back to bite them.
Trump doesn’t get it all right. No administration does. They’re not libertarians, after all. But is there any accuracy whatever in Schumer’s statements?
“…the most chaotic week of what’s undoubtedly the most chaotic presidency ever in the history of the United States.” Is he kidding? No, he’s serious. He wants to demagogue Trump, even with an emotional appeal like that.
In a speech Friday, he added: “The institutions of our government lack steady and experienced leadership. With all of these departures, it is about to get even more unsteady. The president is making decisions without counsel, without preparation, and even without communication between relevant departments and relevant agencies.”
Trump has received more than enough counsel from people who have a different agenda than his. The government is fully-staffed with establishment types and swamp creatures. There is no way forward for Trump but to take some clear and bold decisions after two years of being mired down by Washington’s fetid swamp waters. Schumer’s words contain not an ounce of truth. He, like all the rest, is simply trying to emasculate the Trump presidency.
Actually, a good many underlings have formulated their own policies and attempted to govern in opposition to Trump’s policies. A prime example is the envoy to Syria, Brett McGurk, who last week was stating a policy of U.S. forces staying in Syria indefinitely and standing behind the Kurds.
The attacks are so outrageous that they’ve come to attacking Trump’s wife, Melania. Here is a beautiful woman with poise who wears beautiful clothes that light up her surroundings and should lighten our hearts. Either she has great taste in clothing or she has skill in choosing those who choose her clothes. Regardless, she’s a breath of fresh air.
