Fifty years ago, I was seated at a table at Rampart College with my dear friend and revisionist historian, Jim Martin, reading a special edition of the Chicago Tribune about the attack on Pearl Harbor twenty-five years earlier, and how the FDR administration had deliberately provoked that attack. There was a time when inconvenient but embarrassing truth was at least tolerated in America. Modern truth-tellers are no longer welcome by those who insist on defending the institutional mindset.
