Harris came off much better than expected. Not that much a surprise as, unlike Trump, she actually put in a serious effort to prepare. Trump went down the rabbit hole of immigrants eating cats and dogs in Ohio. Completely tone deaf and really bad. Came off as angry and defensive most of the debate. Not as bad a collapse as Biden on June 27, but not good at all.
ABC moderators were absolutely in the tank for Harris. No surprise there. Repeatedly fact checked Trump but never did the same for Harris who repeated the January 6 and Charlottesville Hoaxes. Moderators never made Harris explain all of her changing positions on the issues. As I’ve written before, Trump should never have agreed to go on ABC. His recklessness, stupidity, and cult-of-personality campaign is to blame.
