Tim Tebow is a huge sports icon in Florida, having quarterbacked the University of Florida to two national championships and won the Heisman Trophy. This is a Big Deal in football-crazy Florida. Yet whenever the Florida media mention his name, they always precede it with “controversial” and/or “divisive.” That’s because Tim Tebow is a devout Christian as well as a sports celebrity. It’s all a part of the Left’s hatred of Western civilization, Christianity first and foremost. The local television talking heads who repeat the “controversial’ mantra are the poltical Left’s “useful idiots.” Below is a picture of Tim at bat this past Monday in a game between his team, the St. Lucie (FL) Mets, part of the New York Mets minor league franchise, and the Jupiter Hammerheads at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL. He got a base hit, and is currently on an eight-game hitting streak.
