Today, Joe Kiernan was preening over being on the Chris Matthews show, and how different governmentocentric DC is from the real world of financial markets. Then he cut to a clip of his appearance. “Forget Helicopter Ben,” he told Matthews. “What we need is B-52 Ben.” Ah yes, the non-governmental real world.

It’s a reminder that GE, owner of NBC, is not only a major merchant of death, but also a corporatist collaborator since at least FDR’s fascist National Recovery Administration, which GE inspired.
