Closing in on Knowledge of the Genesis of Russiagate

The genesis of Russia-gate is becoming clearer. See, for example, this article about Mifsud.

“The FBI and special counsel Mueller have maintained that Mifsud was a Russian asset, but many others, including Papadopoulos, have stated that Mifsud is a member of Western intelligence.”

Mifsud’s Blackberry devices go into Durham’s hands after a trip to Italy with Barr, and then a criminal investigation is announced. This suggests that they got evidence that Mifsud is a CIA asset (or possibly a double agent) and that his actions were part of a deliberate scheme to compromise Trump’s campaign. Confirming this hypothesis:

“They introduce me to Josef Mifsud at this university in Rome called Link Campus,” Papadopoulos told Dan Bongino during a Nov. 2, 2018, interview. “This isn’t any normal university. At the time, I had no idea what this place was. But apparently, it’s a training ground for Western intelligence operatives in Rome. The CIA has held symposiums there.”

This article depicts how Mifsud dangled several kinds of bait in front of Papadopoulos in in attempt to entrap him and thereby besmirch Trump’s campaign and Trump. He dangled a woman said to be Putin’s niece and he dangled supposed Clinton e-mails. This was all in early 2016.

Another article suggests that the trail to the genesis of Russia-gate leads back to John O. Brennan. While this is no big surprise to those who’ve observed this scandal unfold for the past 3-4 years, the article shows that the details of its inception and paths are little by little becoming public information.

The trail is likely to lead back also to Barack Obama because his approval of the operation to ensnare Trump operatives would be essential, unless Brennan mounted a rogue operation.
