Classic Cinematic Americana (Part Three)

Here are three additional movies to add to my original ten shining examples of classic cinematic Americana that depict distant eras and fascinating characters from our historic past in a fictional manner, although some of the persons depicted are based very loosely on factual persons. They are The Miracle Worker, Intruder in the Dust, and To Kill a Mockingbird. My original ten are  Our TownThe Human Comedy,  Tender Comrade,  Hail the Conquering Hero Keeper of the Flame,  The Best Years of Our Lives,  The Devil and Daniel Webster, Meet John Doe,  Judge Priest, and Young Mr. Lincoln.

Each movie is emotionally very powerful, superbly acted and entertaining, and deals with complicated dramatic stories that focus upon challenging elements deep within the human condition.
