It must be, according to drug warriors, since the city of Orlando, Florida, just passed an ordinance that will allow cops to issue citations for marijuana possession rather than make arrests. Although the mayor and the chief of police supported the measure, two former cops on the city council opposed it.

Of course, the libertarian view is that no one should even get a citation for possessing marijuana—or smoking it, growing it, buying it, selling it, or “trafficking” in it. The war on drugs is a war on freedom.
