With all of the furor over whether government schools should or should not be making references to “Christmas” at this time of year, has anyone considered that this issue would be rendered moot if the state simply got out of the education business? As Thomas Pynchon so aptly put it, “if they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don’t have to worry about answers.”
