Writes Wes Baker: “You might want to point out to your Buddhist friend that American Christians have absolutely no problem killing and destroying Christian civilizations, much less Muslims. The ancient, Iraqi Christian community has by-and-large been destroyed and/or strewn across the Middle East – mainly to Syria where, contrary to our elite, there is acceptance for them and their beliefs.
“The bottom line is that Gary Bauer and his ilk will kill anyone of any faith who gets in the way of the US and its tacit plans of global hegemony. I know this line is repeated on LRC continually, but it bears repeating and digestion. Christians, by-and-large, in the US worship the US Government. I know this may come across as hyperbole to the first-time reader, but it is true. Our nation’s Founders – as wise and worthy of respect as they are – are deified, our history is mythologized where we are continually saving ourselves and the world, and our military is placed upon such a high pedestal that it oftentimes challenges the Trinity for importance.
“The irony of these so-called followers of Christ is that somehow, through the mists of history and across the span of the globe, they have found a mirror image in an extreme, and equally illiterate, element of Islam. On the surface, they appear to be mortal foes, but upon reflection they have more in common than they think. Both are hell-bent – and I use this term intentionally – upon ushering in their version of the Kingdom of God.”
