The new Watergate is forming around the idea that a top intelligence official of the U.S. misused his position and knowledge of illegally obtained communications in order to subvert Trump. See that story here. In late February, I identified John Brennan as a likely person here. We’ll know fairly soon, that is, if the investigation proceeds properly. For months now, the FBI has been investigating the wrong things. It needs to investigate the source of the misuse of intelligence and the links between that source and Democrats in and out of office. Trump’s Justice Department should be digging into this.
