Writes Linwood Austin: Regarding Bloomberg’s threat to get all the police to go on strike, I remember back in 1973 or so, the doctors of Los Angeles went on strike. And during that time mortality rates went down, down, down. Wouldn’t it be funny to see a nationwide strike of police only to learn that we don’t need ’em after all?
