Eric Garris directs our attention to Justin Raimondo’s stirring December 29th tribute to John Paul II as a man of peace. To jog our memories, I note in particular an article that Justin linked to from the National Catholic Reporter, “Pope’s `answer to Rumsfeld’ pulls no punches in opposing war“. Archbishop Renato Martino, taking point on this issue for the Pope, is quoted as saying, “War is bloodshed, destruction, disaster and death”.
