Writes Simon Daniel: Currently in New Zealand there is a growing backlash against the govt’s treatment of Kim Dotcom. The US is trying to extradite him for copyright charges because he offered an online file storage service (roughly similar to Dropbox or iCloud). Now it turns out the NZ govt was illegally spying on him. On the bright side, at least this kind of surveillance of residents is illegal in NZ!
