A reader writes to say that when he is asked by a cashier at a store or a restaurant if he is military he replies: “No, I have a real job.” He reports that “so far, about 90% of the folks laugh and respond ‘good one’ or something along those lines back. The other 10% just stare.” May this practice of ridiculing the military become widespread.
