I don’t participate in Leviathan’s quadrennial charade, but anarchists can reasonably disagree on this issue. Those of you who do cast ballots should find this encouraging: a moron at Wired worries that if The Donald wins the election, the NSA may lose personnel and not spy on us as much:
Trump’s public statements have already inspired some … intelligence community colleagues to consider if they’d resign if he took office … “People are thinking hard about the tension between an intelligence community officer’s obligation to protect the systems they stand guard over and…to serve the president,” says [a lawyer who formerly sponged off us at the NSA but] who’s now a fellow at the Brookings Institution [aha. Well, that explains a lot, doesn’t it?].
Yes, the article’s author deems resignations at the NSA a problem. Ergo, my denoting him as a moron.
If you read his drivel, cleanse your palate with a look at the readers’ comments, virtually all of which excoriate him and his silly propaganda (“Anything about Trump is mostly conjecture and assumption based on how people interpret what he said. Hillary and her husband have already committed and encouraged acts of treason, conspiracy, and fraud which would only intensify with her expanded control of government programs such as the NSA.” … “Worse yet. Imagine if Hillary controlled the NSA!” … “Another blatantly political article that has no business in a tech journal. How much more credibility can Wired lose?”…).
