Daylight savings time–yes, the government can give you more daylight by decree–was first introduced into the empire by Woodrow Wilson during his beloved WWI as war time. Politicians and bureaucrats love manipulating the tax victims, of course, but now it turns out that DST is associated with heart attacks. But then, state officials love death, too.
