Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas—remember them? It was 20 years ago that the Senate held up the confirmation of Thomas to the Supreme Court to have a hearing about Thomas allegedly sexually harassing Hill when they worked at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Hill was interviewed on Talk of the Nation yesterday. Never mentioned, of course, was the authority of the federal government to have an EEOC to begin with.
