Cato prez Ed Crane, famous for his ability to browbeat, is demanding that every Cato employee, from the janitor to the executive vice president, sign a petition threatening to walk out if the Kochs win their suit. A number of staffers left early yesterday rather than be confronted in their offices by angry Ed.
Some people at Cato agree with Ed, of course, many more are neutral, and a good number are rooting for his ouster. But almost no one wants to sign a suicidal petition.
