Bill Cosby seems to be losing several contracts and performing venue dates, among other things, because of the more recent allegations against him of being a “serial rapist.” From what I’ve read, it appears that he probably is a jerk and perhaps even a criminal who allegedly had brought women up to his room, got them to drink booze and gave them some pills to tranquilize them and then took advantage of them in their heavily sedated state. If all that is true, he is worse than a jerk. However, if a woman knowingly goes up to be with a famous celebrity in his hotel room and drinks alcohol, she really ought to be grownup enough to know what she’s doing and probably ought to assume some responsibility for the consequences of her own choices and decisions, to some extent. And then there are those women who experienced such a violation of being taken advantage of in such a devious way, who actually went to Cosby’s room with him a second time! Now that’s an idiot, and while I’m not excusing Cosby if those allegations are true, but if you go there a second time after you felt that he violated you the first time? And I’m not saying that any such woman deserves any further violation, but that’s just really stupid. Just as stupid as the fiancée of Ray Rice who, after he punches her out into unconsciousness, the fiancée then still goes and marries him! Now, who in her right mind would go and marry some guy who had viciously punched her lights out? (Am I completely wrong on this?)
Which brings me to the overall societal aspects of these crazy things. Bill Cosby, who may very well be experiencing a punishment more for his outspokenness against fatherless black families and the foul-mouthed rappers than he is being punished for being a sleazy womanizing lech (allegedly), is having many of his appearances canceled, and so on. But Ray Rice, who has shown what kind of person he is for all to see, is now wanted by several major teams! (Call me crazy, but if I were an employer, I would NOT hire a known woman-hitter!)
But the sheeple really do celebrate violence now in Amerika.
