Compared to countries in the Middle East and Africa, yes. But according to the new Human Freedom Index, the “land of the free” is not as free as Switzerland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, Finland, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Canada, Austria, Sweden, Estonia, Luxembourg and Germany.
