Tom, if Guelzo’s logic is correct, then we’d also have to draw sinister conclusions about the fact that Guelzo himself holds a view of Lincoln that is no different from the one Hillary Clinton holds, if her public speeches are any indication. The difference here, though, is that no one is (or should be) surprised when a right-neocon and a left-neocon agree, as they are when you and Zinn happen to agree.
