Karen, I think there’s a class angle to some of these birds’ hatred of Wal-Mart. The firm caters to the working class with more than the best selection and lowest prices. Its customers see it almost as a club, and love it. They are comfortable there, unlike in tonier stores. It’s not for highly paid law professors teaching the federal line a few hours a week.
