A New Front-Runner?

The lockstep media is now informing us that, after a recalculation of votes in Iowa, Rick Santorum actually came out ahead of Willard Romney. I heard no mention made of “hanging chads” to explain this, which makes me wonder whether the political establishment has changed horses in the middle of the race; that Santorum is now the “anybody but Ron Paul” choice. Coupled with Rick Perry’s two-days-before-the-South-Carolina-primary decision to drop out of the running — making the Romney/Santorum/Gingrich contest all the more “meaningful” — is all of this just another ruse for drawing votes away from Ron? It has been said, all along, that the outcome of the South Carolina primary would probably determine the ultimate GOP nominee. But with Ron apparently gaining strength leading into Saturday’s vote, and with the aforesaid changes in the game plan, one media babbler commented that perhaps South Carolina will not be as significant as was first thought; that Florida might become the pivotal state!

Is there a course taught in journalism schools titled “Journalism 101: How To Say It All With a Straight Face”? At least these bozos provide Jon Stewart with loads of material for his honest news reporting!

I am reminded of the words of a friend and former LA radio newscaster, Jeff Riggenbach, who told me “I was often tempted to go on the air and say ‘good morning! And here are the lies your government would like to have you believe today.'”
