With 9/11 in the news again, I thought that instead of the TSA searching everything, groping us, banning water and breast milk, and mandating small tubes of toothpaste, wouldn’t a more effective way to prevent an airplane from being blown up or hijacked be a sign like the following posted inside each plane: “Attention passengers: anyone attempting to blow up or hijack this plane will be subdued by the passengers and crew, beaten to a bloody pulp, and thrown off the airplane, whether dead or alive.” Sound too simplistic?
