A Historical First

The front page of the “Style” section of today’s Washington Post leads with an article about the new Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, Illinois, that is scheduled to open in April. I was surprised that the Post quoted a critic of the museum, Professor John Simon of Southern Illinois University, who calls the whole thing “Las Vegas East” with all its “rubber Lincoln’s” and flashy video soundbites.
