Two e-mails came in, one yesterday and one today, re this post. The first one was a bit of humor: “Don’t know why he [Lemon] didn’t say, ‘Heterosexual white men are the biggest terror threats.’” The humor totally escaped me at the time because I did not know that Lemon was (openly) gay, as this photo attests. He’s holding hands with his white male friend. Today’s e-mail related an eyewitness anecdote about a wedding attended by Lemon several years ago with an attentive white companion who jealously guarded Lemon’s attention, maybe the same man as in the photo.
