1,2,3,4 We Can’t Afford this Stinkin’ War

If it was not evident before, it is becoming increasingly evident now, in particular for those of us in “flyover” country, that this optional war is becoming increasingly expensive. With gasoline futures are $2.57 a gallon, natural gas $11.70 an mmBTU, and heating oil at $2.07 a gallon the American consumer can’t afford to have public funds out bidding us for energy consumption. What I wonder is how much refined oil is being bid away from the US consumer for diesal, gasoline, and jet fuel all to be wasted in this unwinnable war effort?
