  • January 5. New York, NY. The NYC Junto will feature Tom DiLorenzo on his book How Capitalism Saved America. Thursday, 7pm at the General Society Library, 20 West 44th St., NYC.
  • January 10. Bayreuth, Germany. Jörg Guido Hülsmann will be speaking on "Mises's Justification of Democracy" at Bayreuth University (English site) at the Department of Law and Economics on Tuesday at 4pm.
  • January 21. New York, NY. James Bovard will be speaking at the Manhattan Libertarian Convention on Saturday evening. This is part of the Manhattan LP’s Annual Convention - being held at the Ukrainian East Village Restaurant at 140 Second Ave. The convention begins at 2:30pm. Mr. Bovard is scheduled to speak at 8:30pm.
  • January 27. St. Louis, MO. Linda Schrock Taylor will be speaking on "Reading: Why and How America's Colonial Literacy Was Important," at the Educational Policy Conference, St. Louis, MO. Contact: Donna Hearne.
  • January 31. Oakland, CA. Steven Greenhut will speak on Eminent Domain: Abuse of Government Power? at the Independent Institute on Tuesday at 7pm. $15 admission ($10 for Institute Members).
