At his 53-person caucus, Romney received two votes, True said. According to the Iowa Republican Party's website, True's precinct cast 22 votes for Romney. His affidavit is published online.
A state GOP spokeswoman told Des Moines' KCCI television station that True is not a precinct captain nor a county chair and should not discuss election results. She also said the party would not publicly discuss possible discrepancies until the caucus vote is certified.
