"Just imagine a Ron Paul White House...first, he will likely NOT appoint a lot of cabinet positions, Constitutionally deferring their roles to the States...second, Geithner and Bernanke are asked to submit their resignations and the Federal Reserve is put on notice it will not have a monopoly on money handling....whether the US Treasury would issue currency directly as Kennedy did is unknown, as RP advocates competing currencies (we already have one in American Express Checks only nobody realizes that)...there would certainly be an audit of Ft. Knox...the CIA would be reined in and a new chief appointed and all the generals would be called to the White House to justify their wars and to give RP real feedback...Wall St. would retaliate by tanking the economy to make RP look bad, as they did with Jimmy Carter...but this will backfire as RP would welcome a collapse to install a whole new currency and lending system that doesn't rely on rubber-band lending (fiat money, fractional banking).  The world would eventually hail RP for creating HARD MONEY.  Since the public now is losing money on their savings accounts, I don't know how anything that RP would do could be demeaned. The rest of the world would have to follow or see their currencies fade out of existence, not even useful for international trade.  RP would likely get rid of the FDIC and without a fallback to push their losses on, bankers would have to sober up and tighten lending to those who have the ability to repay (imagine that).  There would be no Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac either, so bad loans could not be pawned off on the public.  And imagine if RP demands the FBI show him the files on the JFK assassination.  Don't know how Medicare & Social Security would be dealt with by RP but since they face implosion, that would make it easy on RP to implement reform.  India and China have no Medicare and have no option but to promote self care.  India relies upon its herbs and spices in foods to keep people healthy, and it works.  And imagine if RP can just get all those over-done security checks at airports to vanish.  There would be hollering for joy over that.  No more anti-terrorist drills that somehow become reality.  No more using the White House and Congress to mandate kids get vaccines.    RP would reduce corporate taxes and allow US business to bring in $2 trillion from offshore to rebuild the economy.  NASA would hopefully be tanked as it just represents welfare for engineers.  With tons of money being returned to the economy rather than government, business would take off.  Small entrepreneurs would likely flourish which is where most new jobs emanate from."
