New Ron Paul Ad Runs in IA, NH

Says Politico: "The 60-second spot, made with all the flair of a Hollywood movie preview, is part of a six-figure ad buy in the early-voting states, just the latest step forward in the Texas congressman’s increasingly serious campaign." Ron comes in at 45 seconds.

As Politico also notes approvingly, the ad is part of a national Republican effort with such groups as the Club for Growth, FreedomWorks, Americans for Prosperity, and Campaign for Liberty. So are Ron's many internet ads on Drudge, etc. The experienced GOP ad man who handle's the coalition's effort, and has just signed on to do Ron's campaign, is Jon Downs, partner in the K St. lobbying and media firm, FPI Strategies. (Say, FPI's logo doesn't mean the are incandescent prohibitionists, does it?) Ron's own team is headed by Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton and Campaign Manager John Tate.

UPDATE This op-ed is also part of the coalition/RP effort.

UPDATE TPM is impressed, too. Huffo, as well.
