Why Can't Ron Paul Be Just Another Republican?

That's the nasty/plaintive cry of the Washington Times. Talk about economics, Ron, says the paper, not individual freedom. Be another Huckabee. They even portray Ron, the straightest man you could ever meet, as a stoner. As a compassionate physician, he knows that marijuana can help cancer and Aids victims. He also knows, with Mises, that telling an adult what he can ingest is like telling him what he can read. America was free in this respect for almost 300 years. Ron also knows that prohibition is a disastrous social policy that builds the police state. God bless Ron Paul for his stance on the drug war, and for total federal decriminalization.
