Ron Paul: 2008 and 2012

Paul Mulshine examines the once and future Paul presidential campaigns for the American Conservative. He notes:

I put in a call to Jesse Benton.... Benton worked on the 2008 campaign, and he admits its shortcomings. “Ron kind of had to go to battle with the army he had,” said Benton. “The team was all people who were very hard-working, but it was a team you could get when expected to be a 2-3 percenter.”

Does this hint at hiring a libertarian-leaning Republican presidential consultant like Roger Stone or Ed Rollins? That's just one of the many interesting questions to be answered.
