The neo-liberal editor of Slate applauds the Paul Ryan budget scheme, which famously exempts the empire, the military, the CIA, the merchants of death, welfare for foreign vassal government, etc. from one cent of cuts. And remember to these guys, a "cut" is never what Murray Rothbard called a "cut-cut," where less is spent next year than this, but always a cut in the rate of increase. The state must never be diminished.
