The mergers and acquisitions department at Foggy Bottom,
the greatest of all dealmakers, is hot.
They bring all the buyers and sellers together,
Whether they like it or not.

They've found a three-for-one blue plate special;
A Buckeye for three units from Iraq.
Monday's sale is six Afghans for a Corn Husker
And ten thousand Persians for a Pontiac.

What a bazaar we have in the business of empire!
Where captains of this industry are pinstriped Morloch
Who put the lives of their countrymen on sale,
And customers must pay in blood for stock.
