Wrong Vote, Wrong Reason

Stanford University’s Faculty Senate recently voted to allow the ROTC back to the campus for the first time since the Vietnam War era. That is too bad. But even worse is the reason for the change: the end of the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

Helping the military train and recruit young people to kill foreigners thousands of miles from US soil is suddenly now okay because gay soldiers are allowed to participate.

I think it was Cindy Sheehan who said: “Don’t join, don’t kill.” That is a much better policy.
