Some people still don’t believe me when I say that the god of Americans is the military.
Did you know that “none of us would be able to do what we do without these brave men and women”? Did you know that the military protects “our beautiful country” and lets us “live the lives we are able to lead”? Do you in the military know that “without you we would be nothing”?
Who in the world would utter such nonsense? The writer of this account of the remains of a fallen soldier transported on Delta Flight 2255 from Atlanta to Los Angeles. When the people on the plane were told near the end of the flight that a solder’s remains were on board, they absolutely lost their minds.
