For anyone who has not heard about Winston the bulldog who mauled the plastic bumpers of some cop cars in Chattanooga, it is a most interesting story.  Given the long history of police abuses in Chattanooga, I am glad to see that the canines are in revolt and truly “taking a bite out of crime.”

However, a judge has ruled that Winston must attend re-education camp — or else. He also must wear a “I’m dangerous” tag. From what I know, however, the members of the CPD don’t have to wear the sign “I’m armed and dangerous,” even though it might be fitting. Thank goodness, at least some people in Chattanooga can see that maybe Winston is not such a great threat after all. My take is that Winston was making a statement for all of the gentle dogs that cops around the county have shot and killed in the name of “safety” while conducting their Gestapo-like SWAT raids.
