It seems that the New York Times, which for years has championed the abuses of Eliot Spitzer, played a role in bringing him down. Not that there is much of a difference between the typical politician and prostitute, but Spitzer was supposed to be “Mr. Clean.”

Years ago, when he was AG of New York, he shook down PayPal for a lot of money. The founder told me a couple years ago that he refers to Spitzer as “Dr. Evil.” Today, that moniker means more than ever!
