Isolationism is good, very good. Overseas intervention is bad, very bad. Two separate headlines illustrate one of the several reasons why isolationism is good.
“Americans killed in Afghan suicide attacks“, and the other headline “NATO airstrike in Afghanistan reportedly kills 4 policemen, 2 civilians.” The latter article says “An airstrike by U.S.-led forces mistakenly killed four policemen and two civilians in eastern Afghanistan…” There is no addition to the American public good stemming from this slaughter. On the contrary, there are huge costs.
