‘Why I Donate to LRC’

Writes Rich Wilcke:

I keep getting solicitations from other libertarian organizations that seek to convince me that ‘things’ are getting better due to their efforts. But getting news releases picked up is in no way evidence of any great breakthrough in the cause of a free society. The politics of power as evidenced via the MSM is not only not slowing down, it is clearly accelerating. Not one of us can know how close to, or far from, a revolution of any kind we are. I resent being told about political progress. The hopeful and optimistic phenomena are beneath the surface. For example, the case for private property, freedom, or anarcho-capitalism has never been as concise, as clear, or as well-developed as it is today, and never have so many begun to understand it fully. I believe, for the first time since I became a libertarian 40 years ago, that progress is on our side and that it’s only a matter of time. I won’t live to see the Revolution but I am confident that there will be one.
