Why Do I Watch ‘Morning Joe’?

Joe Scarborough, sort of a war skeptic when he had an evening MSNBC show, is a neocon in the morning.

Today he was excoriating the press for not giving more attention to Nicholas “What’s-the-French-for-Neocon?” Sarkozy’s sycophantic speech before Congress on the glories of the US government.

What a shocker. The head of a restive province now safely in imperial control comes to Rome to lavish praise on emperor and senate.

Then Joe hosted Jim “Printing-Press” Kramer to denounce the failure to put vast new federal funds into the banks and mortgage lenders, in a vain attempt to prevent the unraveling of the Fed’s artificial boom.As usual, there is no indication that there might be a downside to further inflation for a crisis caused by inflation.

In fact, as Ron Paul has long said–and as he will tell Ben Bernanke in congressional hearings today–we need sound money to stop the endless boom-bust cycle.

Jim and Joe both said their proposal to bail out the big boys was motivated only by concern for middle-class homeowners. Of course, the federal funny money factory–like these two birds–is dedicated to protecting and rewarding the power elite.

We need money of gold that no central bank can reproduce; it also acts as a band of iron around the throat of the military-industrial complex and its ambitions for endless tax-funded mayhem.
